Water Pump seal
I had to replace my water pump,.when taking off the old one it had a paper seal and some RTV,.my new seal is metal,.the case is all cleaned up..should I use a tiny bit of sealant on the metal gasket or rely on the machined surface to be enough for a proper seal. Thank's !!.. Frank
PS. also changing to the 160 Deg Thermostat and it had the same gasket and sealant. ! |
No sealant if you are using the proper gasket.

Clean surface and metal gasket. Do NOT overtorque, you probably noticed it didn’t take much muscle to back the bolts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
