What wireharness is need to fix this after marker radio install?

Hello I was wondering if any one had advice on how to resolve this situation? A previous owner installed this cheap aftermarket radio and cut off the original wire-harness. What harness is needed to re install the original stereo http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1568155948.jpg

Yes. White sox and flops. Faux pas. ;)

What I would do is pull up the pinout diagram for the current radio, and the radio you want to install, and compare them. That will help you determine what each wire is as it is currently setup, and where the wires should be for the radio you want to install. For a Becker headunit the diagram is in the manual.

The yellow connector looks original. You might look for a wiring harness on ebay. Honestly the stock radios are not very good. If you want a stock look and new support like bluetooth check out the continental head. Good luck.

OK I wasn't sure about the stock one? It has a built in amp in the frunk so I figured it sounds good? currently only the back speakers are hooked up. I want all the speakers to work like they originally did.

So your rear speakers are in the shelf behind you? Just guessing since you have an aftermarket hu, that those are being powered off the hu and possibly whoever did the hu couldn't figure out how to wire in the amp in the frunk. Normally the amp in the frunk is a m490 which has 4 outputs 2-to dash 2 to doors. The door channels are only low frequency though.

Amp works ok, but i swapped in a 6 channel 996 cabriolet with stock hu then went aftermarket. Speakers in dash disintegrated on mine.

Anyway the stock radio has control out and line levels to the frunk amp.

Google m490 porsche wiring diagram should get plenty of hits with wire colors. I didnt chop up my wiring harness so cant help there. Might double check the porsche code too for you sound package

Ugh, with all the direct wiring harnesses avail now why do people still cut off original plugs? Drives me crazy! Probably the only thing you could do is find a junked car and cut off the stock plug and rewire. Look up a couple of the guys here parting out cars, would be a quick and easy snip. Then buy the correct harness adaptor for whatever aftermarket system you put in. Or, as it’s already cut, do as above and get the wiring diagram. Good thing about finding the stock harness is the wiring should be an easy job.
