Convertible Top Question

Hi everyone.

A question for you all.

My 98 Box has a convertible top that has no liner. I know that it is a replacement top and it was replaced the year before I bought it.

The other day I was looking at a 2001 with less miles as a possible upgrade. The vehilce was poorly cared for and it did not ring my bell. I did however notice that the convertible top has a really nice liner in it.

Is this something that changed between 98 and 2001? Or is this just because the guy that replaced the convertible top used a real cheap one?

Thanks in advance

Tom

Tom,

I believe that 2001 was the first year the Boxster ( non S ) came with the liner for the convertible top :

Hope this helps...
