Brake Fluid Level Sensor-How to Bypass for Testing
 
My brake fluid light is on, fluid is full. I think the issue is a broken electrical connection at the bottom of the brake fluid reservoir. How can I bypass the sensor to verify this is my issue and the light goes out. Is this a simple open/closed circuit where I could jump the electrical connector with a paperclip to test?
Before I replace the reservoir with sensor, I want to make sure it will solve my problem.

The yellow connector is built into the reservoir and I have disconnected the plug (that I want to jump):
