There should be NO binding AT ALL occurring at the firewall where the cables run through. I am talking about the shifter mechanism itself as a 987 unit. Much better overall. If your cables are binding for any reason, that is a significant problem, and needs to be addressed.

Alright....so really one should see traces of oil having leaked out

so:

-open assembly / drain oil
-pour in urethane into the bottom half with the stud plunger all the way down or in the middle of the housing?
-cure
-reassemble

Changed out the WEVO to the 987 motor mount today, and it made a huge difference. Thank you for the advice. I will be selling the WEVO part here soon...
