I am working on a project and looking for a few good places to tap into the wiring. Are there any +12v near the third brake light, something that is switched on with the ignition switch? The signal coming off the turn signal stalk is either on or off, correct? It doesn't change to flashing until it hits the flasher relay. Could I tap into the turn signal line right before the relay?

Take a look at this post. It shows the connector for the optional phone. I know it isn't near the third brake light, but you could run the wires through the center console fairly easily. This may help you avoid problems with the wiring in your lights.

Thank you, that is perfect. It would be nice to run a shorter wire, but beggars can't be choosers.
