Re-apply badge to rear

I want to remove the 'Boxster S' badge to give it a new lick of paint, but I'm struggling to think how I'd stick it back on? I don't want to glue it as it may damage the paint.

I'm guessing the only way really is to cut a large piece of 3M in the shape of the script writing with a scalpel?

Re-apply badge to rear

It's not as tricky as you might think - just put 2 (or 3?) rows of tape on the back and take your time trimming it to the shape of the badges.

Theres a specific tape that's very thin, less than half a mm, which makes it all easier.

This one I think?
