				Lightest 18-inch Wheels?

I'm beginning to work on my plan to lighten my Boxster S and want to replace my stock 17-inchers with the lightest 18-inch rims. Has anyone done this research? I heard the Volk TE-37 are light but pretty expensive.

stock? 5 spokes...aftermarket? too many to list that are light. You'd probably want to list a budget to get a better list as fully forged very light wheels are going to be 6k+. You can also get very light flow formed wheels that are 1.5k range

Gee tee's questions and comments are spot on. 18x8 under 19lbs and 18x10 under 20lbs is good. Nothing stock in 18 is light. Measurespeed
If weight is that important, also look at tire weights. Some are really heavy. Gets complicated....

Porsche's 18" "Hollow Core" Turbo Twists used to be their lightest wheel, don't know about now.

I think the 5 spoke Carrera Classic is the lightest OE 18" Boxster wheel. 944racing |

Okay, a different take on this thread. I was wondering what the widest stock Porsche wheel and range of offsets are that I can use on the Box?

The reason I ask is I found some Carerra S wheels sized 8x19 ET57 and 11x19 ET51 and Wheel Enhancement told me they wouldn't fit. If so, what would?

There's a thread on this. Last I remember, 10" fit with some adjustments (like tying back some cables).

I've got 8" 225 40ZR 18 on the front and 10" 285 30ZR 18 on the rear and they went on without spacers They are turbo twists made for the 993 turbo. Don't know weight but when I hefted the stock 17's, that came off the car, they didn't seem that much heavier.
Not a very exciting looking wheel but they do the job.
