Clutch pedal travel

'03 Boxster S, 71,000 mi,R&R clutch disc pp & to 15,000 mi ago; slave, master and pressure bled 100 mi ago; when shifting at or above 4,000rpm pedal does not rtn to top (1"from top) but easily released with toe and pedal springs to top. Like there is a sticking spot but is definitely rpm related. Help!

I have the same problem. Clutch done less than 500 miles ago. I can't figure it out!

Have you replaced the braided rubber hose?

Been there done that... See my thread 'strange clutch behaviour' or Capt. 's other thread. Turned out the release bearing broke free from the arm because the surface it pushes against was uneven because the clutch cover bolts were loosening off allowing the 'fingers' to sit uneven . Porsche relies on two needle -like arms to keep the arm and bearing together but only works on paper and when everything is perfect! Toyota uses 2 large spring clips and would work for ever even if one fell off (reliability).

That sounds horrible

If you paid a mechanic just park it at his shop and tell him to call you when it's fixed. He'll bleed the system a few times , then install a new slave cylinder and then decide it's got to come apart.
