Does it fit?

Can anyone tell me if a 987 Cayman motor (engine) cover will fit on a 986?
I am doing a 3.4 996 motor swap into my 986 and would like to avoid having to use spacer to lower the motor to make room for the higher 996 intake manifold. I think the Cayman cover has more clearance and could solver my problem.

Only if you never put the top down.

Thanks JFP. I guess I'll have to lower the motor and trans because I like
the free air conditioning.

Will the 987 Boxster engine cover give any additional clearance over the engine while still allowing the top to go down?

What about fitting 987 plenums to the 3.4; will they fit under the 986 cover? You could get numeric cables and route them under the plenums.

Just hate to see nice headers all pranged up
