Need help with Durametric findings

At idle revving slightly the durametric shows that the "actual angle for inlet camshaft bank 2" follows along with bank one, and the spec angle for a time, then it goes bonkers and is all over the map, completely random and the car runs terribly. A moment later its back in phase and the car runs great. What influences this measurement? could it be the Hall effect sensor or wiring, or could it be the variocam?
