Mixing Hankook Ventus v12 evo and evo2

After about 17k miles, the rears are pretty worn and I was going to just get 2 new rears, but I have the evo and the only available replacements are the evo 2,

Are the evo and evo 2 compatible or will I run into problems.

On my first Boxster I had different tread patterns front and rear by design of the tire maker and the car manufacturer. I don't think Pirelli makes that combo any more but it does show you don't have to be exact as long as you aren't radically different.

The general rule is the same on an axle.

As long as the tires are generally the same in construction, you will be fine.
