If yours is a base car I believe the brakes and suspenson are an upgrade. Trans is a 6 speed plus the engine would be sweet in the Box. The guage package and a few of the interior bits would also be nice.

Is the engine and 6 speed a direct bolt up?He only had 50,000 on the car before he wrecked the front passenger corner.I don't need problems..

The engine and transmission will bolt up, but you'll probably end up with 1 forward gear and 6 in reverse... the transmission is spun 180 degrees in the 996.
I've read that the main difference in the G86-20 transmission between 986 & 996 applications is the ring & pinion are installed on opposite sides of the transmission.
Best to just swap over the engine and stay with your 5 speed, or locate a Boxster 6 speed and use that.

You will want the gauge package from the 996....Looks great in your boxster!

I think the doors and door cards are interchangeable. Headlights?

1999's are virtually identical from the Boxster firewall behind the seats forward, including the doors. Engine long blocks are easily interchangeable only requiring swapping model specific accessories.
