Race tire pressures question???

I am trying Pirelli race slicks for the first time. 245/645/18 front and 275/645/18 rear. What hot pressures should I be looking for for the best grip? I have been using Nitto NT01 tires and got good results at 35 psi hot.

I have a 2006 987 S.

Run a few laps at various pressures and see how it feels
Come off track snd have colleague capture temps across tire and
Measure pressures. Adjust and repeat.

Do you have the tire sizes right? Anyway I used Nitto NT01 and Hankook Z214 both start at about 28 front 30 rear and end after 8 - 10 laps at 36 to 37. Pretty even temp across allot of the track you probably would run.

My AX recipe is 32 front , 34 rear. Nitto NT01, 245 35 18 & 275 35 18

Slicks are a different animal and usually run best at lower pressures. They often like 4 degrees negative camber and run 28ish hot. As others have said you will need to get tire tread temps to really dial them in for your car weight and driving style. Many drivers kill off a couple of sets while getting temps and pressures exactly right.
