keysinthepost.com will cut you one for $25. You just email them a picture of your key and they will send you a replacement.

Why can't you just put it in a water proof bag? That should be relativesly easy and cheap. Do you have a rack? How do you fit all that stuff in the Box?

I bought the blanks on ebay for $7 each without a head. You need some kind of head though to turn the key easy.
Some locksmiths may have the proper equipment to cut a key if you supply the blank.

Will fit perfect in the special pocket of my wetsuit.

FYI, I searched diligently about a year ago for a locksmith that could cut a key for me to no avail. They all said that due to the design of the key, it was not possible without the right equipment.

You could go convict style and treat your key as if you were smuggling drugs into prison. However getting the key back sometimes has to wait until the next morning

Cutting a key that will turn the ignition switch is only 1/3 of the way to having the car start. Even the valet key (no remote) has a transponder coil that needs to be programmed into the alarm system.

You don't need the transponder to unlock the door.

I'm thinking the door will open, but unless a key is put in the ignition switch with a valid transponder code, the alarm will activate.

I prefer a hide-a-key for surfing/sailing/diving. $10 YMMV
