Adding Gauges - Need Operating Ranges

Information Request..

2001 Boxster S, 3.2

As you know, the stock instrumentation on the Boxster is rather lacking. Ok, dismal. Water temp - yeah, what's it running? An 1/8 of an inch clockwise
of the unmarked tic? Volts? Who knows. Oil Temp or Pressure? MIA.

I am adding a full suite of 1-1/4 UMA instruments to a custom panel in the center stack.

Since the gauges will be custom built, I can add colored silkscreen markings
for happy, and unhappy operating ranges. Red, Yellow, & Green.

Problem is, I'm rather stuck in a paradox, I won't know where it runs until
I put the gauges in. Then it's too late.

Here's an example:

Just need a second look from folks that have
spent alot of time monitoring one of these engines under all conditions.
Note - I live in Phoenix, and have the stock thermostat installed. So that
lends itself to higher temps at times (especially when it's 115F OUTSIDE).

I am considering replacing the thermostat with a lower limit (suggestions?).

Gauges are:

Oil Temp I think this is pretty close
Range:100-300F
Yellow:130-160F & 210-230
Green:160-210F
Redlines:130 & 230F

Oil Pressure This one needs some tweaking.
Range: 0-60 or 80, or 100, or 130 PSI?
Yellow: 16-30 & 75-100 PSI
Green: 30-72 PSI
Redlines:16, & 100 PSI

Water Pressure Boxster can run up to 22PSI?
Range: 0-30 PSI
Yellow:0-10 & 25-30 PSI
Green:10-25 PSI
Redlines: 5 & 25 PSI

Volts This should be typical.
Range: 9-17V
Yellow:9-11.5 & 15-17
Green:11.5-15
Redlines:11.5 & 15

Here's a shot of the panel CAD drawing:

Thanks for your help!

Jeff,
While I'm not sure about the ranges, i'd sure be interested in understanding more about what and how you are adding those gauges (what senders, where located, install process, etc). I'm now tracking mine more regularly and miss not having access to some of those critical numbers...

please, if you don't mind, keep us updated on this project!!

If you find anything out about ranges for fuel pressure from Pedro please post.

Thanks
