76mm TBI added

Finally got this long wanted project done. Thanks to Meir for the parts.
Very happy with the results on first drive yesterday, now its snowing so have to wait for thorough test drive. Also finally gave in and re-installed the stock maf housing to my 987 air box. No more idle issues or stumbling. Jeez, should have done this last year. :o Passed smog test, thanks to Byprodriver for the deal on O2 sensors he had laying around.

Keep us posted with results. Reinstalled original MAF? Did you have an aftermarket one?

Could you tell me what the white hose running from the bottom of the picture (over oil cooler)under the intake manifold and spliced into the black hose? Also is this a 3.4 996 motor or a stock Boxster?

I have an 2002 S with a bored out 3.2 to about 3.35, 95mm JE pistons. I put in an air box from a 987 Cayman, using the much larger MAF housing with it. The car did not like it at anything other than WOT. Which is fine for a few runs down the front stretch. Anyway, I cut off my stock MAF housing from original air box and mated it to the 987 box. Then added this TBI setup to it also. There is a really long 987 v 986 air box thread on here that I started 2 years ago.

That hose is actually black, with a big white Porsche sticker on it. That otherwise no one would ever see. I put some foam on it to keep from rubbing through on the oil cooler. It connects to the TBI plenum on one end, and intake on the other.
