Drive Shaft Compatibility

Hi All,

Firstly sorry for the ignorance on the subject, so my question is, are the drive shafts on the 5 and 6 speed manual gear boxes the same for the 986 for the following years ;

1) 1997 - 2002 from what i can find they seem to be the same for the 2.7 and 3.2
2) 2003 - 2004 will these work on a Boxster 2000 S model ?

As I discovered this week that my drive shafts outer cv's might need replacing, a local wrecker has 2 from a 2004 5 speed manual. that has 30,000km on them. As they are at a rather reasonable price I thought this might be an easy solution.

Thanks in advance for your help

cheers
