rear 255/45/17

hello all,

i just replaced my rear tires with 255/45/17 as opposed to the 255/40/17. in my opinion, it seems to "look" better, because it fills the wheel well more. am i making a huge mistake by doing this? i assume not, but just wondering.

Bit late to ask now, isn't it? Your speedo is going to be affected although, given that the Boxster speedo typically reads low, you might actually gain some correction from this.

It should be fine. You gain a little forward rake, maybe a little gas mileage on the highway, and lose a little mechanical gearing advantage. Your speedo will probably be right now. :p

Make sure your ABS doesn't throw a code when activated.
