turn signal theft? need replacement

I have an '00 Boxster S and the right front turn signal is now missing. I was wondering if this is a common theft item or if it is prone to popping off. Also, can someone tell me the part number and a good place to get a replacement? Pelican doesn't seem to have it on their website. Thanks.

If it was the stock amber drivers side marker then I have one in my garage from when I changed mine. I would part with it for cheap for a fellow forumer. I do not think these are a common theft problem because alot of the kids who vandalize cars do not know that these sidemarkers just pop off like they do. And since we dont have hub caps we dont have anything to worry about other then litronics or valve stem caps being stolen.

Yes, it's the stock one, but it's the turn signal by the headlight assembly, not the sidemarker. If you have this, then I will buy it/them from you. I'm not sure what they go for.

So, they just pop in then? is there a bulb in there? I don;t see a harness/cable in the hole.

If it is this part they clip on. The clips are tiny and if they break then the corner flys off.

Hi,

No bulb inside, just a reflector. Hope this helps...

That does help! Thanks! That is probably what happened broken tabs and they probably fell off. Anyone know the part number and where to order one?

Just call Sunset Porsche and buy it cheaper than your local dealership. 1.800.346.0182

speaking of easy to steal parts, don't leave your car with the top down in parking lots and such. It takes a Porsche parts theif all of five seconds to steal those coveted clear headlights, litronic or halogen. If you get an amateur theif and your litronics are incorrectly removed the wiring damage could cost thousands to repair.
You guys in the warmer climates where Porsches are common are at higher risk. the anonymity of Ebay makes selling these stolen headlights a theif's dream come true.

besides, leaving your top down in teh sun is terrible for your leather and dash
