recommend pads for 02 non "s" at buttonwillow
I am trying to make it out to the POC event coming up at Buttonwillow. I am swapping on 987 rotors, the gt3, ducts, fluid change but I am stuck on which pads to pickup.
I am hoping to get some recommendations for a dedicated track pad I can swap on before heading out. Part numbers would be helpful. Thanks guys! |

Choosing pads is based on heat management and tire choice. If you are running street tires, Hawk Blue or Pagid Orange work well. If you are on Comp tires you may need higher heat capability.

Thanks Topless, is that the right part number for an 02 non s?

Nope,
Just plug in your car year and model for the exact part. Your HK V4 is an all season tire that is not likely to generate a ton of heat in the brakes. Hawk Blue 9012 Racing Brake Pads for your 2007 PORSCHE BOXSTER (987 Model) Except S Type - w/ cast iron brakes - TopBrakes.com |
+1 for Topless' suggestion of Hawk Blue or Pagid Orange.
But to be honest, if this is your first day at the track, the stock pads will probably be fine. |
I am driving the boxster to and from the track so I thought a spare set might be a good idea.
