boxster 986 brake caliper seal repair kit

Hi, does anybody in the UK know where I can purchase a boxster 986 brake caliper seal repair kit. I have removed my brake capliers to have them powder coated and I will need new seals when I rebuild them, maybe even the whole kit?

I have looked on Ebay but there isn't anything for Boxsters.

Cheers.

Hello R33P
I did my fronts last year, I put the details on the Pelican site entitled"Saving Brembo" .

What I did was, I looked at the sizes of the seals in the Porsche kits of a company called Big Red. They had none listed for the Boxster, but the seals and dust covers in one or two of the kits for other model Porsche cars were the same size as the Boxster. Have a look yourself, try here,

Here's a couple of options;

Buy Porsche Boxster (986 / 987 / 981) Caliper Seal/ Caliper Pistons | Design 911

Genuine 40mm Brembo Dust Seal Porsche Boxster S, 996 986 C2/C4 Front Calipers | eBay

The kit looks like the way to go. Pelican has the parts too, along with a DIY guide here:

Project 50: Rebuilding Brake Calipers - Page 1

Do you already know that the old seals can't be re-used? If they're not damaged or leaking now, and you're careful with the dis-assembly, then you shouldn't need to replace them.

The Big Red looks a great option, thanks for this. genuine Bembo's are not cheap, especially when you've been a bit rough in taking them out like I have thinking they would be a couple of quid, major oversight.

I have managed to purchase all the seals bar one from BIG RED at half the cost - if you quote them the part number ref from the Brembo seal they have most of them in stock and can cross reference.

The kits are different front to back, and I could have sworn the kits were different from the base to the S model, but looking at the site they don't show a difference.

ELECTRONIC CATALOG - LOOKUP BY APPLICATION

Front: 143.37013 (each kit is enough for one caliper)
Rear: 143.37009

According to this cross reference, each kit fits a ton of models:

Front: Centric Brake, Clutch, and Bearing Parts
Rear: Centric Brake, Clutch, and Bearing Parts

I always assumed since the fronts were bigger on the S model they would have bigger parts inside. Maybe the difference is the bigger rotors on S fronts which allow greater surface for friction?
