How To Clean MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR
2001 S, 3.2, 6spd
I have codes that lead to an inoperative MAF SENSOR. I'd like to locate and clean/service it. Does anyone have any info to offer? |
It's right down by the air filter box where the intake hose leaves the filter case...
Pull the secure-torx...pull the MAF and use some MAF Cleaner spray (NAPA or any good autoparts place will carry it) Pelican Technical Article: Troubleshooting and Replacing the Boxster Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF) - 986 / 987 |

Careful when you put the screws back in that hold the MAK. They screw into plastic and its very easy to strip.
