Short Shifter?

I was in my local porsche dealer and tried a short shifter kit installed on a demo car. It was stiff, but very short and precise (I really liked it!). I was thinking about the B&M shift kit.... How hard is that to install? Is it a DIY or does it require a shop to do?

If anyone has installed one, please give me some information on installation details such as special tools and level of difficulty.

regardless if u order one online or if u purchase it from somewhere else, it will come with a step by step instruction booklet. it is pretty easy to do. the only difficultly i had was to remove the old shift knob from the old shifter because it was still usable. any questions, feel free to ask. i'll be monitoring the forum. good luck.

Several posters have tried and liked the Vertex shifter.

Of course, we LOVE those guys!

Does the vertex have shorter throws than the B&M, or are they about the same?
