Porsche to become the 2nd car.
I live in Georgia so year round driving is no big deal, I just purchased a mini cooper for daily driving, and I don't plan to drive the Boxster that often, how often should I drive the car to keep the battery charged and the engine running nice. Once a week 50 or so miles, twice a week etc. I want it to be there when I want it, but not everyday. Thanks

+1. I have one that sits right beside the battery and I plug it in on weekdays. Check your air pressure more often as cars that sit longer tend to lose more air pressure. Also, lower air pressure and/or cold temps increase the severity of flatspotting.

Like the idea, I only use my Spyder as a toy and reward, let the Ford do the heavy lifting. I can't say I'm looking forward to putting it away but this year I get to spend January in Atlanta / Dallas area so I'm pumped to be out of the snow.

My DD is a Mini Cooper S, love it.... snappy around town and so easy to park.

I didn't use mine as a daily driver until I went to the 3.6. Now I can't stand to drive anything else unless I need to haul something bigger than my passenger seat will carry

Its funny how your first Porsche is initially your 2nd car to presumably save it from wear and tear.
Its so fun to drive, its impossible to deny yourself that daily enjoyment.
Mine quickly became the 1st car of choice when I need to go somewhere where its reasonably safe from door dingers.
Now the Jeep Wrangler only gets driven when hauling or supermarket parking lots and Im starting to think that I need the battery float charger on it to keep the battery alive.

Driving it once a week should suffice to keep things charged up and such, just let it warm up before giving it a good run. Make sure the car reaches get to be proper operating temperature and I would do a little spirited driving if possible.
I'd still change the oil once a year, and keep the windows rolled down to help with interior humidity in the winter.
