How long did it take you to replace your IMS?

I've searched but couldn't find any posts on how long it took you guys to do to the IMS job. Maybe because most of you do it slowly and have another car to drive, or maybe I'm just not good with the interwebs.

Anyways, I'm about to tackle the IMS/clutch job and am relying on my Boxster to take me work at some point. I'm planning on taking three days to do it and am pretty mechanically inclined(I've done engine swaps, clutch jobs, etc). I'm doing the work on the ground though in my garage. What do you guys think, how long did it take you? Was it easier or harder then you expected?

Take a look on the DIY on pelicanparts.com

I think it said 8 or 10 hours.

Not easy but given you are already mechanically savvy, shouldn't be difficult for you. I would say What fast man says is right. But if you include running into problems it might drag that time - broken bolts, other issues needing parts, etc. Not to mention getting sidetracked on 'while I'm there let me .....' tasks! :)

and it adds up fast. when mine was done i also had the shop do the clutch and flywheel, coolant pump/belt/rollers, coolant tank, AOS and front motor mount.
