Loss of Power

Need a little help... I'm a new Porsche Boxster owner. I have a 2001 Boxster S and have noticed that when I reach certain RPMs I experience a loss of power and the engine seems to increase RPMs without delivering continuous power. This happens when slowing down and then giving it gas without shifting. The RPMs go up and then reduce and it's as if something catches and the power is there... Is this a normal feel with this transmission or no?

Thanks!
Joe

Your clutch is worn out.

What RPM range as there is a substantial peak line and plateau???

Also, please specify if you have a manual or TIP...

Clutch.
Make sure to have the flywheel checked too.

Between 2000 and 4000 RPM... Manual. Several others have pointed me to the clutch.

Any Idea how much I'm looking at to replace the clutch and flywheel?

Thanks for the help! That's what I figured. Happy Thanksgiving. Guess I should ask Santa for a clutch.

Cheers!
