never seen any car on here done as well but knew where I had seen that exact car before.
You don't have to ask him questions, just need some basic reading comprehension. If you followed the link I gave, you'd find he pretty well posted many details of his mods in that specific thread. Only suggested you PM him if necessary for more details than he openly posted. ;) |

That doesn't look like a very "streetable" setup. Very little suspension travel without bottoming on the fenders. But you would have have to check with the owner.

I spent considerable time setting up and dialing in my suspension (with the guidance of a professional race prep tech of course) before I got it to where I wanted it. If you're looking to dramatically lower your vehicle, the only way to achieve it is by using adjustable coilovers . Also, depending on the width of the wheel that you're using, +23 maybe too aggressive of an off-sett . |
I've got 7mm spacers with 10X18" rims on the rear and 285/40/18 Nitto Nt01 tires. That's about all that will fit, and yes, with the car lowered, I do have to be choosy about the roads I travel and especially the driveways I enter. The biggest issue is scraping the nose. The rough ride is a close second.
The RoW M030 kit will lower your car significantly, but it's not going to put the fenders down over the tires like that Cayman. To get that low, you will need at least coilovers and rear toe links. The toe links will keep the car from having a pigeon-toed alignment, but at that ride height, no matter what, you will get lots of negative camber. This looks nice and makes the rear end hook up very well in fast corners, but in street driving (particularly highway) the car will eat the inside edges of the rear tires. |
Jonny (& "J"), did you have to go much stiffer on spring rates, to reduce travel and keep the tires out of the fenders?

I have H and R 23s on my rear wheels (18" 265) with no issues. Your eagle eye is correct; it puts the top of the wheel right at the edge of the fender. I have stock s ride height. I often wonder where the camber will take that edge with a lowered set up. I plan to go with the M030 eventually.
