Roll Over Bar

A quick question, does anybody know if the roll over bar from a 987, would fit a 986. I have a 03 Boxster and i would like to up grade the roll over bar with the one out of a 987, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is the "up-grade" benefit of a 987 roll over bar ?
