Radio Issue

Great forum! Have learned a lot and plan to contribute! Did lots of research, cannot find what is going on here.

I have a 2000 Boxster S, just replaced battery, now I'm seeing on my cd player (cdr220) a message that says "Code ####". Does anyone know what the unlock code is? I miss listening to my daft punk! I tried random codes, to which it displays "Wait" for awhile.

Also, can someone link me to a 2000 boxster s manual? Cannot find one for some reason. Thanks much!

Hi Andy,

I'm guessing you don't have that little silver card with the radio code on it. Anytime you disconnect the battery you will need to re-enter that code to get your radio working again. It's an anti-theft thing.

Do a forum search for "radio code" You may find a helpful link or two. Failing that, I think the dealership can get you the code, but (of course) there will be a fee for the service.

Try this link for a manual:

Here's what I found doing a search, should be what you need.

Look for a 4 digit code written down somewhere, like
On the option sticker under the frunk hood.
Daft punk is definitely better in a Porsche :-) sometimes I drive around wearing
My daft punk helmets :-) http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b6...nd/photo53.jpg
