The most smiles per mile mod?

I'm going to offer the Top Speed Pro-1 (forum sponsor) short shifter as a candidate.
I installed it this weekend and it really enhances the driving experience.
That it shortens the shifts is obvious, but it makes every mile more pleasant because the shifting is so distinct and solid. It really makes the oem shifter seem lame.

Beyond the street benefit, I'm really looking forward to being on track and coming out of the off camber left hand turns and getting a positive shift from 2nd to 3rd every time instead of going 2nd to 5th once a session.

Nice product John, keep them coming!

I have 2 best mods.
1) Traded my Maryland Blonde for a California Blonde.
2) Traded my Honda Accord for the Boxster. (With the CA. Blonde riding along.)

A pretty girl in the passenger seat is the best modification, even if they tend to be temporary.

For me, the most smiles per hour must come from the Sprint Booster... I know that it doesn't actually give your Boxster any more power but what a great little device for making you realise that you don't actually need any more power. The three modes of operation are great and being able to switch it back to standard mode for when someone a little more reserved gets behind the wheel is a nice plus.

I know that some chip tuning also changes the egas peddal mappings so the result is the same but with extra power too, but ECU tuning costs much more money, raises your insurance premium and isn't exactly easy to take off the car when you sell it, unlike the sprint booster.

That's a fair commentary.
I've always thought that mods HAD to make you go faster, or corner better or stop faster to be worthy.
The sprint booster kinda' fits.

Since my shift distance is 45% shorter, I'm going faster, right?

There are loads of mods which I like and one of my Boxsters has a bucketfull installed. The short shifter and the sprint booster combine perfectly to make changing gear feel like mans work and pressing the loud pedal feel like your destiny is directly linked to your right foot... Combine that with performance manifolds, 200 cell high flow cats and a sports exhaust and you can enter another world in the Porsche.
