I have a Magellen GPS and when I moved it to the Boxster the cigarette lighter seems a little to short to hold the cord plug. It keeps wanting to pop outDoes anyone know of an adapter that can be used? I know the end of the plug unscrews but cant seem to find anyplace that carries adapters.

i don't know any place that sells just and adapter, but every car charger for every cell phone i have ever had comes with a little adapter, basically a little plastic sleeve that will fit around the plug that goes into the cig. lighter to make it fit tighter - so maybe a mobile phone place will have something. You could always temporarily rig something with some electrical tape or something. My cig. adatper is always powered on my 99' box, even when the key is removed.

See this prior thread for a picture of one of these "adaptors". Mine have come with my radar detector, a universal DC-DC power adaptor, etc. I've not seen one sold by itself yet.
