Technical Stereo question...
Hi. When I'm driving around listening to a cd or the radio, occasionally I'll get a buzzing in a repetitive pattern: dahh-de-dahh dahh-de-dahh dahh-de-dahh three times just like that, then it's gone. Is my stereo talking to me? It's the standard flip face cd/stereo in an '01. Help!

It's not interference from your cellphone is it? Mobiles in the UK can affect audio equipment in a similar way if they are kept close by. If they decide they want to search for a better signal, you get a buzzing noise in a regular pattern.

I have the same problem and finally traced it to my cell phone. When I'm driving without my cell phone on board, no noise. Take my cell phone along, and my stereo does intermittent morse code noises.

Yup, it's interference with your cell phone, which is searching for the tower with the strongest signal when you hear that SOS type of dots and dashes thing over the speakers.

Thanks, all...now I know why I never had a cel phone...now I do, and look what happens. Who wants to talk to anyone when we're driving these cars anyway...thanks again!
