Please help with my CEL
Can someone please help me with these codes
CEL has come on my car, and these are the codes I got. The symptoms are rough idling. P1128 P1130 Thanks for the help. |
You're going to have to get it to a dealership or a Porsche repair shop that has a PST2 tool... it may be an oxygen sensor or a mass air fuel sensor going out.
How's your fuel economy? If the box is sucking down the fuel faster than normal, it may well be a sensor. Get it looked at asap. |
Both of those codes are from your O2 sensors on your exhaust. The front two right off of the first set of CATs and near the headers. I had the same problem for a little while, but I have a VERY modified exhaust. if you are still on your stock exhaust system then I would suggest replacing both of those O2 sensors and have the codes cleared from memory and you should be ok.

doesn't he need to replace all four? That's what I was told by my mechanic.
|
Not in my experience. I only had to replace the two fronts since I beleive 1128 is the one on the left and 1130 is the one on the right. After I replaced the front two(very easy to replace yourself when lifted a good foot or two, cheaper too) and cleared the stored and pending codes they have not returned in my case.
