Brake caliper paint

Hello guys,

I want my black calipers painted red.
Therefor I'm gonna have them sandblastered and painted at a pro.

But what is the color code for the red calipers on the boxster s?

I also got some stickers, so I just need the color code

Best regards
Kim

I don't remember seeing a specific Porsche caliper red paint code. Duplicolor lists their caliper red as BCP400 Red which I think would be a good starting point in your search.

Or, you can do it yourself for less than $50, without the need to sandblast the old paint...

Painting calipers

Hi,

it is Gaurds Red. But as Boxtaboy says, do it yourself, it is so simple and cheap. I have done all my previous cars. You can use any hi-heat aerosol spray paint. Signal red is very close to the Gaurds Red, which you get in 99% of hi-heat aerosols.

I, too, have painted calipers myself. Twice, in fact. The first time I used hi-temp engine enamel. The second was with G2 caliper paint. Both times my prep was immaculate. Both times the color and finish faded very quickly under heat. If I were to re-coat calipers again, I would remove them completely and have them powdercoated.
Others I know have used G2 successfully. If you drive hard I would shy away from it, though.
