will hook up another batt tomorrow and will use the spare key to see for any differents. Car keeps on thinking that the key is still in the ignition somehow...give it a night sleep first...
Very well could be the ignition switch -- when it starts to fail all sorts of weird electrical issues. It is cheap to replace on your own using the equivalent Audi part number.
