Help !
ok, just stuck a new starter and oil filler pipe on. Was all running fine before that. Well other than not starting.
Put everything back last night, connected the air pipes, electrical connectors, made sure that the throttle body was sealed around the air intakes etc... I cant see anything that I missed putting it all back together. Started ok, with new starter :) But... Now runs like a pig. It idled ok last night and took it out but was chugging at about 3000rpm. Checked all the pipes again and saw that the pipe from the T/body to the oil seperator hadnt been pushed all the way in till it clicked. So, did that and it seems to run a lot better up to about 5k. After a little while it started running really sluggish after 3k revs again. Very cold outside this morning.. Ran like poo on the way to work Any ideas? :( |
Try disconnecting the MAF, and taking the car for a test drive with it unhooked.

Look for air leaks around the new oil filler tube. Retrace your steps, something is still loose.

Thanks Ill have a look.
Just as an observation. The old filler pipe had a single groove in the end sectiion that fits in tot he crank case where the o ring sits. The updates part has 2 grooves... i put the ring on the lower one. Not sure if that was right though. |
