I always go for top quality, but shop hard to get pretty close to the best price from a trusted supplier. eBay's always a tempting place to find a "deal" (I've been trading there for 10+ years) and I often take a look as a frame of reference, however reality is there really aren't many great buys. If it's too good to be true...

I've found the best way to keep repair & maintenance costs manageable is by learning how to do as many projects myself as possible. This forum has saved me a ton of bucks and countless time by not getting screwed around by the local dealer. Knowledge is power.
