Love my Boxster, but everytime I open the door and the window goes down that x-amount of mm's, I cringe. That's one less time that'll happen.

With more "stuff" comes more failures eventually.

I've owned I think about 30 914's in my life so far. Love those until it rains.

If I had the money and room, I'd have many different cars to satify my needs. But I don't, so I drive a 986. ;)

Bah. That's totally the wrong attitude! Everything breaks eventually. Sometimes it's the window regulator, sometimes your heart. I don't suppose you count heartbeats the same way.

:D

Don't get me wrong, love what Porsche did with the Boxster. I drolled in 1993 as soon as I saw it.

My little pea-sized brain constantly works through all the plausible failures with little micro switches, sensors etc.

It's all good and I love that I can drive something so damn cool.

I belive we are owning these and a lot of other cars as Toys. Toys are expensive but they make us feel good. If my 986 ever has a major problem I think a great solution will be a road trip to Georgia to vsit Jake. Then my trunk lid will read 986R.
I try to worry about serious things like when the Idaho winter will be over and I can put the top down!
