03 stock sound system rear speaker box

I have no sound/power coming from the 4 rear speakers. Nothing when i fade to the rear. Connections are good.

I guess next step is check for voltage from the plug to the rear speakers???

Is the AMP in the front trunk, directly above/behind the spare tire??

thanks

yes the amp is in the frunk, at least on my 01. Did your speakers ever work? or Is this something that just happened?

You may want to have the dealer try to reset your head units programming. When I added the cd changer to my 04, I had them program it in. When they did that it made my head unit go crazy, fader, balance issues etc. It took them about 4 trys to get it to reset the programming.

Look for my or somebodies thread on this . I will try to find it. I upraded to a jvc hds50 head unit, infinity kappa 4" fronts and infinity reference 3" rears(1 each side). I had BB install the head unit as said above it isn't easy. The speakers were pretty easy if your handy with a roto zip. Nothing complicated.

found the tread. http://www.987forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22225&highlight=kappa

There are more threads, I just searched "Kappa" as thats been a favorite.

Thanks, I'm up for changing out the stock speakers. I'm not a fan of changing out the factory interior components like the HU. That's just me. IMO it takes away from the clean look of the inside of the car. just IMO. THANKS. definetely going change out the stock speakers.
