Serp. belt slippage?

hello.
I drove my car today and it smelled like burning wires insulation, I thought something shortened, but when I was shifting - i would ocasionally hear a squeak like if the fan belt was lose. I know our cars have self-tentioning serp. belt so was wondering if anybody else experienced something similar. Im out of town right now (about 40) miles and am hesitant on driving car home, where I can put it in a garage n start tearing it apart.
Any input is apreciated

Not sure if mine is related to your issue but I just had a tensioner pulley burn up on me at 68k miles

hmmm. that could be it.
Car drove fine today (made it home) with no smoke this time, yet heard squeak a couple times. Will replace belt and all worn rollers and go from there.
Now - new problem; spoiler has a mind of its own... goes up at parking lot speed, stays up, clicks or goes up when when I turn headlights on etc... Probably not related though. Car haven't been flooded.
Thanks.
