All you need are two spinlock and two bolts, if you call Sunset Imports they can get you everything need for a good price. And if you ever get a hardtop you need spinlocks as well.

is the oem part that much better?

i have a choice btn one that is not and one that is for about 150$ less for the aftermarket one.

There is a DIY either on this site or RennTech that covers how to install the spinlocks using plastic bags to make sure parts don't fall out until they are tightened.

As far as OEM vs aftermarket there have been some reports of poor fit and shoddy attachment for non-OEM. Not sure if spinlocks even needed for some aftermarket versions.

I'd think OEM would be more value-added. At least resaleable if you sell them separately from your car.
