2006 Box. S upgrades
I am very seriously looking at a 2006 Box. S red/tan with 23K miles on it. I have searched this forum quite a bit trying to find out about upgrades but it seems most of the topics pertain primarily to the 986 model. I realize this is opening a whole can of worms thats proabably already been answered but while searching i didn't see a whole of info primarily on the 987. So I thought it might be interesting to start a 987 mod thread in general.
This car will get driven primarily on the road but also on the track. I was thinking of going with a
1. complete fabspeed exhaust system( headers w/sport cats, and rear box).
2. Evo air filter
3. B&M or maybe a porsche short shift kit.
4.GT2 brake ducts
5. suspension?
6. brakes?
I was wondering what your opinions of these components were on the 987 S?
Also what would be the best option for suspension and brake upgrades?
I thought that the porsche M030 was only for the 986, so is there another aftermarket company that makes a good suspension upgrade kit for the 987 S that won't be too hard for the road?
As for brakes there are the Brembo upgrades, but they really don't seem much different than the stock S brakes, and are heavier. Has anyone retro fitted ceramic brakes or say 997 S brakes onto the Boxster ?
Thanks a bunch....
