temperature gauge
 
hi, dont know if this has been discuss before, excuse me if it has.my temp gauge stays at 100 after a good 20min drive on the highway, and sometimes, during a drive it goes from being at a 100 for a while and just shoots up to 180 which i find very abnormal.thanks for any kind of help i can get

I think number 6 is the part you may want to look into replacing. I think Temp senders and thermostats are the same? I dunno. Im judging this based on the name...

I would start by checking the cooling system to ensure it is properly purged of air, check the connections to the sending unit, etc before I moved on to replacing parts that may not be bad.
