Stuck Plug
I'm trying to drain and fill the tranny fluid and have run into a small problem.
I can't get the damn fill plug off! I've tried WD-40,this special lubricant stuff for my Dad's bicycle and I've let them all sit overnight. It's a no go. It's kind hard to get a good angle on cause of the location. Any ideas? Just to make sure,I'm supposed to be pulling towards the ground correct? http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l1...T1416-Copy.jpg |
Lefty lucy...righty tighty.
Longer wrench for more leverage? Eat Wheaties! :) What are you going to use to refill, Blink? |
It you are pulling to the ground then you are in the wrong direction. It is just like opening a jar lid.

Try running the car to warm up the case (careful not to get burned). Lite taps with a Brass Hammer, 18" or longer Breaker Bar, heat (last resort).
Turn anti-clockwise, lefty-loosey, etc. |

I'm thinking of getting a 10mm hex bit that I can fit on a breaker bar. :D |
Very nice. That baby's gonna shift like buttah. Like buttah I'm telling ya!

My Dad got it off.
He braced himself against the ramp the rear tire that was driven onto and pulled like there was no tomorrow. I will report on the 201 after I put 100 miles on her. |
