Need info on Air Filters + MAF

OK, so I can't use a Sponsor's name, and actually have no intention of doing so...That said, a buddy with a VERY hot Bmer, with whom I rat race, has read on his forum about oil fouling of the MAF when using the oily spray on his K+ filter. Are any of you familiar with this phenomenon? After searching this forum for hours, I can't find any info regarding the MAF fouling, but, like the Bmer, the Boxster MAF is a Bosch, and it would appear to have the same issues. I'd like to upgrade my filter, but I don't want to degrade the MAF, so any help would be useful. Thanks, Tom

Yes... it has been reported as an issue. Also, a K&N Filter will pass more dirt as well as air meaning you should also shorten your Oil Change interval.
