MIL Code P1123

I'm getting this MIL code in my '99 2.5L. My OBD II supplement says that this indicates an O2 sensor signal below lean limit and indicates that it may be caused by a short or something. I'm thinking that it's probably the sensor itself.

Anyone have any experience with this code? Thanks!

P1123 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 1 (Cylinders 1 - 3) - Lean Threshold

It seems to me your car is trying to lean out.

Which intern means it is rich, if it is rich. Have you checked your air filter?

It's a bit dirty. If anything, though, it seems to me to be running lean although it's hard to tell because the motronic is so good at masking this stuff. when i'm on the gas, there are some flat spots in the torque curve from about 4500 up and sometimes it's just gutless in that range.

K.I.S.S. is right; i'll make sure it's getting enough air and fuel before i start replacing stuff.
