hey everyone,

totally sucks..was takin the onramp onto the freeway, the back swung out, tried to straighten back out..but wasnt able to. later found out that my rear tires were completely bald! yea..i know..stupidity on my part. well, i was wondering if anyone has a rear bumper, front bumper, right headlight bracket, and/or right side radiator for a 99 boxster? or if you guys know of any place that has em at a decent price? i went to the local porsche dealer, and let me just say..WOW..they sure know how to squeeze the dollars outta ya.lol. so yea..let me know! thanks in advance!

For the headlight bracket & radiator you can call SuncoastPorsche, things like that usually are half the price at suncoast when compaired to other dealers.

The bumpers would probably be found on eBay or a Forum member who's got a spare.

Dont forget to buy new rear tires!

magically, my headlight doesnt even have a scratch on it!haha! it just got popped out from the housing, breaking the bracket underneath it. i talked with my mechanic, and the front bumper he can fix with fiberglass, but the rear bumper and radiator is gunna be the problem. im seriously considering to just buy a turbo or gt rear bumper and possibly a turbo or gt2 or gt3 front bumper, and just squeeze the money out right now.(i was planning to do this in a few months anyways). but right now, i just want to drive my porsche! geez..crashed it on my birthday too. TOTAL BUMMER.

Rusty I have the OEM bumpers from my 2001 in my garage. Front and Rear. Im in Burbank, CA though and only offer pick up.

Another great parts place is Sunset in Oregon.

I know the feeling of wrecking your Box, as I did it before in my first one. I was merging onto one of the side streets on semi wet conditions, when the back end broke loose on me, which had me run smack into a sloped median. Totally my fault for speeding, but I wasn't going too fast. The merging lane was not smooth at all which was the cause for the back end to loose grip. Funny thing is the city re-paved that section just a couple weeks after my car was wrecked.

Good thing for me, I wasn't hurt, and the insurance picked up the tab. The bad, was the wait for all the repairs. It took around I want to say 5 1/2 months to repair. :(

Hey bud, I have a pair of stock headlights from my '02, and a '03/04 oem rear bumper (upgraded style with rear diffusers), and may be willing to sell my oem front and rear bumpers from my '02 as well. PM me if interested. I'm in san diego as well.

LA Dismantlers may be able to help with the body parts.

Glad you're ok. Are you going to claim this on your insurance? If so there may be a bright side here. Like most of the guys said, check e-bay and Suncoast Porsche, and shop around. I had an accident with my Box on the first day of summer this year. I upgraded to a turbo bumper, litronics, and got 4 new carrera wheels out of the deal. It took most of the summer to complete but it's just the way I want it now.

Why don't you just go though your insurance and pay the deductible? It would definately be cheaper than trying to do it your self. And the dealership would do it right. You can still upgrade the front bumper. That's what happened to me last year. I paid for the deductible and only $200 more to get the bumper I wanted. O.E.M. bumper for them was $800 but the GT-2 bumper I wanted was 200 more so paid the difference and got everything I wanted. ;)

hey guys..thanks for all your concerns. the problem with the insurance was that i JUST bought the car, and the registration is still processing and i was in the process of getting my car insured. it was just the wrong time to have an accident.lol. no worries, got the front and rear bumper from TriGem2K, and my mechanic is almost done repairing the rear and front fenders. he's pretty good, and he doesnt use bondo or any of that stuff..all his work is old school so he keeps everything clean and sharp :) only thing now, is that i wanna get some clear headlights and a lip for the front bumper. just wondering, but how much are these items goin for??

the clear headlights new go for around $900-1500 The lip should be around $350
