Clutch Adj. Question

I've a 2001 Boxster S. The engagement of the clutch is very near the top of the pedal throw ... a pain in traffic as attempting to give light throttle and engage the clutch is difficult.

I was told by a Pcar mechanic that there is no adjustment for the engagement point ... this true and would a new clutch offer any relief?

Any info much appreciated.

Yes, a new clutch would help. But, I though there were adjustments too.

My mechanic said there wasn't an adjustment, the clutch is supposed to be 'self-adjusting', and when it gets to the top of the throw, you are running out of disk.

I'm getting kinda close, I guess it's about that time...

Have you tried bleeding the clutch? I bled my clutch when I did the brakes and it improved the pedal feel quite a bit.
