Thanks! I think they look at bit outlawish on the silver car. Definitely not your "doctor's boxster".
Will update with weights after I call RUF. |
thanks for the lead to Wayne. He has been great to help me. Wish he was closer.

about
Mine are about 10% heavier than stock ones. They are 18 x 10 and 18 x 8.
I weight them with the tires on though (Michelin ps2). After I put them on the stock box basically did not have the power to break them loose! |
Do you have any photos?
Sounds like you need more power. ;-) Quote:

Who cares how much those weight, they looks pretty darn awesome!
I would be shocked to find out that they actually do weight more then optional 18" OEM wheels because RUF is all about performance. |
Here is what Wayne from RUF said:
The RUF wheels are designed to remain true and round while dealing with the rigors of street driving (pot holes, lane dividers, etc), so weight was not the primary issue when they were made. The fronts are about 27lbs each and the rears are about 30lbs each. Light weight wheels are great for the race track, but often bend when used on a normal street. |
Indeed quite strong
Hi,
I have here part of a catalog .xls file of Ruf. Come to see this my rear spacers must be 21mm instead of what I mentioned earlier. Also these wheels are by a well know italian wheel manufacturer. Don't remember exactly which one though. I could check it out when I have a chance. They are very strong. Already brushed the side walk :( but damage was barely visible. Unfortunately the info I have does not include the offsets. |
Spaced...here are my fronts and rears.
|
Here are the fronts.

WOW, I wonder how much the spacers weigh? They look like they would be heavy, adding even more weight to the cars hub. Sounds like you will loose some pick-up with all that extra weight on the flywheel too.
|
not quite
The RUF spacers are quite light.
Even counting that you have to put in studs with nuts (included). (the nuts weigh absolutely nothing!). |
